Renault Megane RS Trophy was introduced in summer 2011 as a limited edition model to be sold in ten different European countries. Trophy was a special version of the Megane RS 250 model and compared to RS 250 the biggest technical difference was the fact that maximum power was increased by 15 PS to 265 PS. Otherwise the Trophy and the RS 250 were technically quite similar.
RS Trophy had better standard equipment than RS 250 including stiffer and lower Cup suspension with a mechanical limited slip differential, Recaro seats and Renault Sport Monitor. Four colours were available for the RS Trophy; pearl-yellow, metallic-grey, metallic-black and white although the choice of colours were even more limited on some countries.
The 19" Trophy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 tyres, red Trophy stickers on the front doors and spoiler and a numbered Trophy plaque on the cenre console were unique for the RS Trophy model compared to the RS 250.
Originally Renault announced that it would build 500 RS Trophy's but later on it changed it's mind and apparently made 1,200 RS Trophy's.
A Renault test driver called Laurent Hurgon did a front wheel drive production car lap record on a standard RS Trophy on the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 17 July 2011. Besides leaving behind all the front wheel drive cars it also left behind some other cars including Audi RS6 Avant '08, Mercedes E63 AMG '09, BMW M5 '05, Porsche Boxster S '09, Audi RS3 '10, BMW 1 M Coupe '11 etc.
RS Trophy has never been officially imported to Finland and it's quite possible that my RS Trophy which I imported from Austria is the only specimen in this country.

The equipment level on the Finnish RS 250 models were slightly better than in Central Europe and compared to Austria the following were standard in Finland: Xenon-lights, Renault keyless entry and an emergency spare wheel. A four year 100,000 km warranty is also standard on all new Renault's sold in Finland compared to a 2 year warranty in most other countries. It is however possible to extend the warranty on most countries and also I purchased a warranty for 4 years/60,000 km for 299 euros.
The equipment level on the RS Trophy is better than on the RS 250 although there were differences in the RS Trophy spec level in different countries and in Austria the Trophy was better specced than in most other countries. For example in Germany the following Austrian standard equipment were options: dual zone climate control, Renault keyless entry, electrochromatic rear view mirror, front parking sensor and Arkamys-radio. The spec level in the UK was also lower than in Austria and there it was not even possible to buy some equipment as options.
My RS Trophy has the 19" Trophy wheels, metallic paint and an emergency spare wheel as options.
